When can I sign up for lessons?

A.

Anytime! Our swim lessons are continuous rather than session-based. Our belief is that a consistent
approach to swimming is important for swimming skill development and water safety awareness.

Do you do trial lessons?

A.

Yes we do! Trial allows the assessor to assess the student and ensure that he/she is placed in an
appropriate class. We charge $30 per lesson. Trial lesson is 30 minutes

How long are the swimming lessons?

A.

Group/Private Lessons are 45 minutes.
Competitive Junior Squad is 60 minutes

Q?

How many children are in a swimming lesson?

A.

For group lessons, there will be a maximum of 6 children

What are the registration costs?

A.

There is a one-time non-refundable Registration Fee of $25.

Q?

How do I arrange for payment of my swimming lessons?

A.

Payment can be made via PayNow or online transfer. We provide you with the payment details upon
registration of swim lessons. Kindly only arrange for payment after receiving your invoice. Late
Payment fees of $10 applies for those who pay after the invoice due date.

How much notice do I have to give to withdraw from lessons?

A.

Please notify us in writing to [email protected] and the last 4 lesson will be the next
following calendar month.

Are there classes falling on Public Holidays?

A.

No Classes on governments gazetted public holidays.

Can I join in the middle of a programme?

A.

Yes! We will adjust the fees as accordingly to ensure that you will not be overcharged

How do you manage different skills level of the students?

A.

Firstly, we perform assessment on the first lesson or trial class request. Our attentive instructors can
pick up on skills differences very quickly and are aware of the abilities that your child needs to have in
order to progress in his or her level. We may request child to shift to a more suitable level of class if
necessary.

Can I request a specific coach?

A.

Yes you can! Do note that fees will be different and subject to the coach availability.

What is required for the swimming lessons?

A.

1. Swim Cap
2. Swimming Kick Board
3. Goggles
4. Appropriate dress in swim suit

Are there classes conducted on the 5th week of the month?

A.

Yes! Our lessons runs perpetually rather than seasonally, your lessons will continue and fees are
chargeable.

What are the recommended swim frequency?

A.

Ideally twice a week. However, do note that there may be regression after a long holiday.

Why do I need to give 1 month notice in order to withdraw from a class?

A.

This advanced notice gives us the time we need to make necessary adjustments to our coach
schedule and customers on waiting list.

What if my child is ill for a prolonged period of time?

A.

Please contact us at [email protected] if your child is expected to be unable to swim for
an extended period of time.

What is your rain/lightning policy?

A.

In the event of bad weather, the swimming instructor or pool authority will be responsible for
cancelling or postponing swimming lesson. Classes will be pust backward.Any swimming lesson which has begun and must be stopped due to unforeseen
circumstances such as but not limited to bad weather will be replaced by water safety lessons, Q&A
sessions or land-based drills at the discretion of the instructor. There will be no make-up classes if the
lesson is already in session.

Attendance Policy

A.

Absenteeism, tardiness or cancellation of lesson for any reasons cannot be replaced for any of the
group lesson plans. For 1 to 1, students need to attend 4 scheduled lessons out of 5 weeks.

Refund Policy

A.

Refund requests must be made either 7 days prior to the first lesson in writing to [email protected].
G.L.T Aquatics will only make a 50% refund of the amount paid in any case of cancellation notices
given less than 7 days prior to the first lesson. Once lessons commence, no refunds will be given.

Fee Transfer Policy

A.

No transfer of fees to a third party is allowed.

Relief of Swimming Instructor

A.

If the scheduled swimming instructor is unavailable, G.L.T Aquatics reserves the right to provide the
student/ class with a substitute swimming instructor.

Responsibility

A.

G.L.T Aquatics will not be held accountable for any claims or costs associated with claims that arise
from any injury, damage or loss of life that may occur in classes or lessons.

Swimming Certificates

A.

Swimming certificate will be issued in recognising the student’s competency. Assessment is required for All levels to be awarded the swim certificate. Assessment will be conducted by G.L.T appointed qualified assessor when the student is deemed competent by the coach

What is your Pandemic policy?

A.

If you (parent or caregiver) or your child is feeling unwell, please seek medical attention and ensure
that he/she has fully recovered before returning to the swimming lessons. All swimming lessons will follow government declared policy.
